Ok, I know I promised a better blog post, but sometimes things change, right?
After I did the last post, I got that much needed shower, then I set up camp for the night, just in case the forming black clouds turned into rain.
Then about an hour later, Joe, the owner of the Smith's Green Acres RV Park that I'm staying at, said there were hurricane force winds in Anchorage, likely coming our way, and that maybe I should move to somewhere safer. That turned out to be a good plan, so I packed my tent, and all my gear, and then set up my sleeping bag, air mattress, and laptop in the laundry room.
Then I got busy charging all my gear, and caught up on email, and then about midnight went to sleep, to the sound of gale force winds whipping around the place. The building shook a little even. Not quite like a hurricane, but still glad I wasn't out in my pup tent!
Anyway, today is another day, and things seem calmer, the sky is pretty blue, and I think its time to get packed up and hit the road.
My next plan, when I get a chance, will be to write posts ahead of time, and then when I have internet I can just post them en mass. We'll see how that turns out!
But don't worry about me forgetting everything in between, I have a cute little digital voice recorder that I'm recording stuff to constantly. Now I just need to have time to listen to it all and transcribe it!
Next stop, Anchorage, Alaska. Then south, south, south!
Bye for now!
PS Thanks for all the emails!
